Marie has chosen SPRING for this week's theme at the Three Muses.
Now to anyone else I know that might conjure up visions of sunshine, lush green grass and Spring flowers, but not me. Nope, all I could think of were SPRINGS! So here is a selection of springs all mixed up with steampunkery!!!!
Sometimes I despair of my sanity. Tee hee!
I couldn't choose between the two collages so I present both interpretations.
Credit to Cali Designs, Finecrafted Designs whilst the backgrounds in each are my own.
Great choice of theme Marie.
Thank you for looking and commenting.

Great minds think alike, Ann! My original idea was very much like your top one until I saw the watch springs 'hair!' Both masterpieces are stunning, love them both!!
I always knew the over-use of pesticides would cause huge problems for plantlife!!
Ann, I love your hugely original take on this week's theme - and yet you have still managed to include some seriously gorgeous flowers in there.
Fantastic artwork, as always.
These are both so clever and creative, Taluula. I love them!
Being a gardener, my first thought was "What beautiful garden stakes"...love them intertwined in your blooms and the imagery overall is excellent. Love it.
Both are wonderful tongue-in-cheek tributes to Spring, Ann! I'm partial to the second, which is so filled with clever detail. Youse is da greatest!
What original beauties...now if only spring had a spring in it's step and got here faster, lol...
Real Spring Spring, i love it, what a good idea, beautiful
Ann both are fantastic but the second is my favourite!
Explosion of mechanic flowers, colors and surrealist vision of spring enjoy me.
J'adore!!!!

Yes Spring has definitely 'sprung' in your collages Ann. Great work again.xx
Ann, I love the way your imagination works! Steampunk and beautiful flowers seem to go very well together. Fantastic pieces!

How fantastic, great digital collage.
LOL,
You are too funny! I love your collages and the play on words and images. What a brightener on this gloomy day in Indiana!
Altering books is easy. 1st find an old sturdy book that feels right to you. Begin gluing every three or four pages together then rip out two or three in that order. Second after ripping and gluing, start painting the pages with your favorite medium :) e-mail me if you have ???'s
lol, you are so refreshingly clever Ann!! Love your take on spring. Cool, beautiful details and such fun!!

I'm glad someone (in fact you and Judy) did it - I resisted the tempation! They are both fab pieces and I just love your quirky sense of humour, Ann.
OMG, prings! You are the best, Ann. you never disappoint!
MAGNIFICENT, Ann! That is exactly what I was wanting to do (meaning those kind of springs), I just couldn't find any springs :)
I laughed out loud when I saw your Springs!!! Ann, your sense of humor tickled my funny bone today. Love them both! Hugs, Terri xoxo
Clever! Now I'm trying to think how I could incorporate some springs into my actual garden.

So funny, Ann! First I saw the gorgeous flowers and then I looked at the stems! What a hoot!
These are just wonderful and I love how you focused on the literal word "spring". Laura
