THE THREE MUSES

ARABIAN GOTHIC

We have ARCHITECTURE as our theme at the Three Muses this week and that reminded me of the amazing architecture I glimpsed through an open window of our new neighbour's house as I passed yesterday ... which I could only describe as Arabian Gothic!   Oh and I know I am on the short side for a grown woman but our new neighbour is, well, a wee bit on the tall side don't you think?

TAKE A WORD

I USE BLUE

This week we have BLUE as our word for inspiration at TAKE A WORD and that made me think of Pablo Picasso's 'blue' quote.

THE THREE MUSES

MISTAKEN IDENTITY or INCOGNITO

We have OUT OF BOUNDS as our theme at the Three Muses this week and that reminded me of what I saw (I'm sure I did) the last time I visited the Louvre.  I couldn't be sure whether she was making her escape to paint the town red or returning after a night on the tiles, but most definitely there was no mistaking it was Mona herself.  Not Mona you say ... perhaps you wouldn't be so sure if you saw what I saw underneath that mask!

TAKE A WORD

THREE CAN KEEP A SECRET, IF TWO OF THEM ARE DEAD .... or so wrote Abraham Lincoln!

We have VINTAGE as our word for inspiration at Take a Word this week and that gave me the chance to illustrate this brilliant quote!

THE THREE MUSES

ANYONE FOR A CUPPA?

Well, here I am, back from my week's holiday in Scotland.  It rained a lot ... but hey, the hot tub was welcoming.  We walked, and toured and even took a cable car up to the snow.   Took some 'moody' photos of the mist shrouded Loch we were staying by.   And more 'moody' photos of the mist shrouded, snow covered Glencoe mountains.  Visited one or two Scottish castles and, as always,  was awestruck by Scottish architecture in general .... all spires and turrets.  Back home now though and ready for a cuppa!
