This week Marie has chosen the word BLOOM for our inspiration and that reminded me of the new turquoise roses I noticed in our local park. They are very special, not only are they a beautiful shade of turquoise but they also grow to a height of 10 feet and the children love to climb on them and play games ........ or they did until they were confronted by the giant beetle that has made its home in one of the blooms!
Credit to Marta Van Eck for the background whilst the Roses is a sculpture in New York!
Thank you for looking.

I could tell it was your 'local park' as I spotted Yorkshire in the b/g where someone is puffing away on the rolled up turquoise rose petals - ha ha!! Once again Ann at her best, very cool entry!!
For a crazy moment I truly believed in the turquoise roses and coveted them for my garden!!! Awesome work, Ann! Hugs, Terri xoxo
HA! I saw those rose sculptures in NY, and thought them quite something. You turned them turquoise, imported them to your local park, and made them even more quite something! Great job, Ann.
Unique surrealistic work. Love your inspiring art style!
Have a nice week, Anja
Gorgeous contrast of colors, Ann.
I love this Ann I'm high on your whimsey...the turquoise roses are amazing and I'm in love with the beetle...I hope the kiddies and he learn to get along.
Surreal but happy and fills one with the hope of more blooms to come!
a fabulous other-world of garden delight!
WOW Ann I'm lovin this,FANTASTIC!!!
love these colors!!
Lovely artwork and story!!
This is fabulous!
In Oz, we would call you a bit of a bullduster, Ann. You can certainly tell a tall story, very straightfaced. Or I am imagining that you do have a straightface. Your turquoise (do you say Tur-koyz or the posher tur-kwarz?)roses are breathtaking. I hope the beetle is only looking and not munching.
Wow, I'm missing words, the flowers are outstanding.
You nearly got me too you are naughty but nice. Beautiful piece.
Marie
Ann, you always make me smile with your stories and your pictures - just gourgeous!
