THREE MUSES 54 - TAKE A SONG, ANY SONG

It's Marie's turn to host the Three Muses challenge this week and she has chosen the theme of TAKE A SONG, ANY SONG.

Now for a while I have been considering trying to illustrate the lyrics of the Beatles' song Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, and so Marie's theme gave me the perfect chance to have a go.

I think you can probably guess which bit of the song I have chosen but just in case not:

Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies.
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

Credit to the very talented ladies at the WaterLO Project, Efie and FAFT. Whilst the Beatles are courtesy of Google. Fonts are Thoughts and Too Damn Drunk.

Thanks Marie for a very inspiring theme and thank you all for looking.

The Beatles songs are such a treasury of wonderful lyrics. Ann, your interpretation of the song, and particularly that verse, is superb. I love your boat especially!! Oh, and the tangerine tree. Well, I love everything about it.
Hugely great artwork.

What a hippy! I feel a bit like this picture today - I've got a sore throat and ache and feel slightly spaced out. I've got a tonne of work to do and my head feels full up and overflowing with marmalade!
