THE THREE MUSES

FLORENCE 1461

Mmmmm I always thought the modern postal system began with the Penny Black, but did it though?

Look what dropped onto my doormat a week last Tuesday.  A letter dated 1461 and from Florence at that .... and not a Penny Black in sight!

It's MAIL ART this week at the Three Muses.

Thank you for looking.

That's the British postal system for you, better late than never, Ann, I agree with Peggy, very classy, love the icy blue shades!
(No, I wouldn't want to be 'sweet 16' again, because I wasn't!!!!) LOL!

This is a classy and interesting bit of mail art, Ann. Well done. (Now I'm going to Google to find out what in the world is a Penny Black!)
