TAKE A WORD

It's MAKING MEMORIES this week at Take a Word and that reminded me of this lovely poem I've wanted to use for a while now.  So here we are!

..... Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me.
Be Still they say.
Watch and listen.
You are the result of the love of thousands.

Linda Hogan.

Credit to Itkupilli for the children whilst the background was a free to use wallpaper.

Thank for looking.

A wonderful poem and a touching and sensitive illustration. I like to watch "Who do you think you are?" - the UK and Aussie versions. It never ceases to amaze me how many of those looking for their family history connect and are moved to tears when they discover stories of hardship and loss in the lives of their ancestors. Your picture and the Linda Hogan poem cover these feelings so beautifully.
