TAKE A WORD

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

This week we're  invited to create MAIL ART at Take a Word and for reasons known only to my Muses  'dark' mail seemed a good idea.

Initially the postcard was black, but a tad too much perhaps, so a nice buff card instead.

Credit to ShadowHouse Creations for the postcard,  Sharing Tubes for the birds and the door, Aurorodreams for the model, insects from Free Png Images,  the remainder from own stock.  Font : Trash.

Unfinished Black Postcard

Thank you for looking and taking the time to comment.

I am a huge fan of mail art.
Here's a thought for you: I do not know if you follow Jane Davies blog or not, but check this out. She is trying to save her small town post office, by increasing the amount of mail that come through it. She has been on the news with her mail me a post card campaign. I'm doing it with a once a month post card . . . anyway give it a read. I think it is a pretty creative way to save their little one room post office and the lady's job that works there :)

They are both so original, fun, dark, Ann, but I really prefer the one with the black background--more atmospheric.xx

All my life I've heard "Come into my parlor, said the spider to the fly", but I don't think (at least don't remember) ever reading the entire poem, so thanks for that! I love the images you chose AND that DaLi postage stamp!

They are both so wonderfully made, same images but yet so different because of the colors, love the poem, a great idea.
