Mixed Media Monday - Altered People
Altered Self Portrait
I hosted the April ATC swap challenge at Digital Art Quirks last month and I challenged participants to produce an altered Self Portrait
This one is my contribution and believe me when I say that this is only the body of my dreams!
Credit to Liana's Paperdoll blog for the body, Effie's blog for the furniture, frame, bottle and picture, Madam Mim for the background. Oh and me.
Font : Palsu

DAQ Quirkle Challenge 88 - Wish You Were Here
The Quirkle challenge at Digital Art Quirks this week was hosted by Donna who challenged us to use 1) a butterfly, 2) something yellow and 3) a triangle in our work.
There's no denying I was stumped this week and got caught up in the triangle bit and eventually this is what I produced.
Credit to Muddled Mind for the face, ATheeC for the body (both free to us at Flickr) and to Valerie Brincheck for the stamp.
Fonts used : Palsu and Vilma Handwriting.

Make a Moo Or Two - Kiss
The theme at Make a Moo Or Two this week is A Kiss and this is my interpretation.
The statue is one from my own collection of photographs. I added a blue background, duplicated the whole thing and and blended first with multiply and then with a second layer blended with screen. After flattening the whole image I added a posterize filter, followed by an outline filter. Finally I made a drop shadow and added bevel and emboss to give the whole thing a raised edge.
The font is Dakota Handwriting.

Stock Photo Challenge 74 - Hands
Over at Digital Art Quirks the stock photo challenge this week was hosted by Cindy who chose the hands by Straymuse from Stockxchnge.
This is my interpretation. The map and the lady who shops (both much altered) are courtesy of the very generous Valerie Brincheck from her blog Sum of All Crafts. The shoe and hat boxes are by Kubivet.
