I just happened to mention to Mabel the challenge at Take A Word this week is HAUTE COUTURE THROUGH THE AGES and that was it.  She said "look no further" as she has plenty of Haute Couture in her wardrobe and would be more than happy to show off one of her lovely outfits .... the Astrakhan coat with the fox fur collar (wouldn't be allowed these days but back then it was the norm) and the lovely little hat that matched it to a tee.  To be honest, there was no stopping her.  Perhaps you'll join me in humouring her!
