TAKE A WORD

MOTHERS

This week at Take a Word we are paying tribute to MOTHERS so here's a little tribute to mine who started quite a dynasty producing seven children who in turn gave her 17 grandchildren  ... and of course, there are great grandchildren too.

In the UK Mother's day is celebrated in March, but since Mothers are being celebrated elsewhere in the world right now I'm happy to wish mine a second Happy Mother's day.  Thinking of you Joan.

Credit to Irene Alexeeva and Marta Van Eck for the arty farty bits whilst the photo is my own.

Thank you for looking.

Oooooh! GREAT hommage to your beautiful mother Ann!
I guess that this pic is not so old than it seems...
And that you've worked on it so that it has a vintage look, haven't you?
GIANT take on this challenge my friend! :)
(Maybe, if you allow me, I'll do the same next year, I've got a so beautiful pic of my young mum...)

I have 7 children but never thought of having formed a dynasty--until now! Good for your Mum! Great to have that photo and super treatment of it here.xx

My goodness, your mother has indeed founded quite a dynasty....an example of how genealogy leads us to a cajillion ancestors! The family tree has MANY branches. This is a lovely family memento, Ann!

What a remarkable photo, Ann! And just for the record, you commented on my blog that it's nice to see my mother. As much as I wish I were my darling daughter's young age, I'm the old one in the photo. lol!!
