THREE MUSES 88 - BLACK AND WHITE


It's my turn to host at the Three Muses this week and I have chosen the theme of BLACK and WHITE and this is what my Muse had me create.  She wanted there to be strong black and white elements but allowed me to use colour also.  She is so generous!

Credit goes to Clix at Stock Xchange  for the mushrooms, and Efie for the clock, cat, hands, diver, waterfall, boat and eye. 

The backgrounds were from photos I took during our last New Zealand trip : the sandscape is from Taupo Bay, whilst the 'sky' is a shot of a handmade glass brick from the world famous Hundertwasser toilet at Kawakawa.

    Being an expert and font of knowledge in all things (in my own head) I am ashamed to say I have never heard of the world famous glass brick Hunderwhatsit toilet in Kawakawa (where is Kawakawa?)
    Seriously, those mushrooms always remind me of "Day of the Triffids" for some reason. Do you think they are flesh eating plants? I love your study in black and white, Ann, and I am glad your Muse allowed you to include some colour - especially in the form of the glass bricks. We have a saying here in Oz that if someone is big and powerful he is "built like a brick dunny". Perhaps not a glass one.

    Two questions Ann.
    1. What were you doing taking photos in the gents' toilet?
    2. Are you perhaps related to Salvador Dali?

    I love your creations - the more surreal the better as far as I am concerned. You are the master (or should that be mistress?). My favourite touch on this one has to be the little cat!

    - oh, just seen Judy's comment... she stole my thunder! Oh well, just goes to prove we are both concerned about the lengths you go to for your art!
