TAKE A WORD

Our theme is FAMILY ALBUM at Take a Word this week and that reminded me of a little photo I have of my Grandfather.  Born 1899, the youngest of five children, and unlucky enough to be 'called' to serve in both world wars.  A strict but loving grandparent.  As this outfit was most definitely to celebrate something special I'm sure it was purchased for his Mother's second marriage ... his own father had died when Leonard was only four.  If only I could find who my great grandmother married I could verify her new name .... but no luck so far!

Anyway I've created a new background for him and given him a better chair to lean on and framed the whole thing appropriately for the family album.

Thank you for looking.

  7. Beautiful treatment for this treasured family photo, Ann. Don't give up on finding grandma's new husband's name. It's buried somewhere waiting to be found, no doubt.
