A STORM IN A TEACUP


CROCKERY is our theme at the Three Muses this week and that reminded me of what I saw from my bedroom window a week last Tuesday.  I should mention it was a stormy night and when I drew the curtains against the winds I saw what looked like a tea cup bobbing erratically in our fish pond, and I'm almost certain I saw a strange figure balancing precariously in that very same cup.  To be honest that's when I began to doubt what I was seeing.  And how would a tea cup find its way into the pond anyway!

    Teehee - we both chose "storm in a teacup" as our focus. I'm surprised that it's new to Lori. Pippa from Germany tells me that Germans say "Sturm im Wasserglas".

    Funny how the phraseology changes from Brit to American. Here we say a "tempest in a teapot", and you say a "storm in a teacup". Whichever, you've done it up properly! Applause from my corner.
