TAKE A WORD


WHEN IS A DOOR NOT A DOOR  .. WHEN IT'S AJAR!

I think that's the first riddle I ever remember being asked as a child - and I didn't 'get' it.   A jar is a jar is a jar .. surely!  The subtleties of imagery were still to develop in my childish brain. 

Anyway it obviously hung around in my subconscious because here it is now - sort of!  :D

Created for the TAKE A WORD challenge where this week our word for inspiration is DOOR.

    You have really hit a nerve with the old riddle, Ann! We are all feeling very nostalgic.
    Your surreal take on doors is SUPERB. The doors just keep coming and it takes a while to find them all. The lady on stilts is making it hard on herself to actually get through the doors. I don't know how your surreal mind works but I am just glad that it does. You really are the Surreal Supremo.
