This week we have WORD ART as our theme at the Three Muses and that, for some reason, had me stumped for a while, until my Muse, who knows me best, reminded me of this little poem by Jenny Joseph. And she is right of course, I do aspire to one day wearing that red hat!

Thank you for looking.
Oh Ann, this is splendid! Love what you did with this great poem! It is a good reminder--especially now that I am definitely in the wearing purple stage of life!
ReplyDeleteGreat applause from me dear Ann! I've been wearing purple now and again, I play havoc with my crutches but I don't yet spit! I love that poem and your collage is just super perfection! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat illustration of a great poem! Thanks for reminding me of how little other people's opinions matter to me these days...
ReplyDeleteI'm SO glad you were inspired to share this. The way you changed fonts and directions is very creative, and features the piece (which happens to be a favorite of mine) well. Thanks for sharing with us! I'm going out now to drag my cane along the fence. So there!! lol
ReplyDeleteI love this poem and your wonderful interpretation!
ReplyDeleteYou got it!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo fun!!!
fabulous! . . . and probably words I should take to heart!
ReplyDeleteFun piece Ann! The words made me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteI think you have succeeded in moving a lot of old bloggers to dare to be different if not daring! I love the mixture of fonts and can only marvel at the amount of work you have put into this fantastic, creative piece. I have a reputation (according to my daughters) of being too conservative and I have resolved that one day before I drop off this mortal coil I will shock them by turning up with pink spiky hair and an outrageous outfit.
ReplyDeleteI love this piece, Ann.
I love this, Ann! Maybe we could shop together for red hats :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful text Ann!
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed all the work you've done with it!
( and I'll never wear purple, it doesn't fit me at all... but I'm used to put a red hat on my head; I've got three of them...)
Is that sweetie you? Love this, didn't know the poem, so thanks for introducing it to me.
ReplyDeleteI always thought that old age, despite the hassles, such as health problems, had a certain freedom, which I intend to enjoy for sure! In fact, I think I'll start training right now!
this is exactly what i shall do;))
ReplyDeletei only knew the beginning phrase so far, but the rest is promising much fun, too!
i love how you set it into collage!
I love this poem but its only as I age that I really 'get' it. Great piece.
