This week at the Three Muses, Marie has chosen AUTUMN as our theme for inspiration and as I didn't know which one of these pieces to show I thought I would submit both.
The one above is a postcard of one of my own photos of Whitby, a sea side town in Yorkshire. I played with layering, blending modes and filters to create an Autumn feel.
The one below is a typical Autumn scene when all the leaves 'turn' before falling in preparation for Winter. The boy in the garden will soon be coming inside, closing those windows and reading his book by the fire. Ahhhh .... where did Summer go!
Credit for this one goes to mi9.com for the wallpaper background, whilst the boy and the books are courtesy of Finecrafted Designs and the doors/windows Irene Alexeeva.
Thank you for looking.
I love what you've done with the Whitby photo, and the Boy in Garden is such a lovely, peaceful scene. You've captured the colors of autumn in both pieces, Ann!
ReplyDeleteYes, a brilliant idea to give Whitby a colorful change of scene (love the effects there) and your second picture is just gorgeous. Great artwork as always.
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful Ann! A painterly approach to the quaint village just glows with warmth and I LOVE the scene with the boy reading. A rainbow of Fall essence!
ReplyDeleteBoth are delightful, bravo
ReplyDeleteThe first one is such a fantasic image with a explosion of colours Ann ! Isn't it fun to play along with filters ?
ReplyDeleteAnd the second image...Well you know i LOOOOOVE sceneries !!!
They are both awesome Ann but I love your postcard because it is so unique and beautiful like an impressionist painting...Bravo!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous art, Ann! Both pieces are simply wonderful! But the first one...oh wow, the colors are vibrant and yet the whole composition has such a gentleness about it. Bravo!!!
ReplyDeleteYou clever thing! The first one looks so professional...like a painting...and the second one reminds me how much I rely on books to enrich my world...
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love those rich warm Autumn shades, love them both, Ann!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful pieces Ann. Love the vibrant colours in the Whitby one and the softly peaceful look in the second. Gorgeous art! xx
ReplyDeleteBoth are lovely and very different Ann. I love your boy, but I think Whitby would look fabulous, given a makeover in your colours, don't you?!! =)
ReplyDeleteWhitby is one of my favourite places and you have given it a totally new look that I love! The little boy seems to be already feeling the first chill of Autumn.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are just gorgeous, Ann!
ReplyDeleteBoth are divine and I love the books in the foreground of the second. I for one am happy to see summer go! Give me a book to read in front of a cozy fire and leaves to watch fall in all their splendor...
ReplyDeleteBoth entries are beautiful. I really like the painterly quality of the Whitby view.
