Three Muses Challenge 31 - Something Old, Something New

It's my turn to host the Three Muses challenge and this week I have chosen the theme of SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW.

This theme could have taken many turns, and I was tempted to create some steam punk, and then I thought about the something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue connected to the gifts given to a bride on her wedding day, but in the end I went for a more comic theme.

Meet Harold, a gentleman of a certain age, who has a liking for wearing ladies footwear. Also meet Doris and Daisy, who like nothing better than a good old gossip, and here they are seated on their luggage waiting for transport to their New Year's holiday whilst discussing Harold's outlanding footwear.

Credit to Irene Alexeeva, Valerie Brincheck, Efie of course, and the ladies are Flickr CC free to use and courtesy of nyctreeman.

Thanks for looking.

  2. Ann, this is hilarious and wickedly clever. No doubt you will be saving the two old gossips and Harold for future scenarios. I love your sense of humour and creativity. It makes my day.

  3. What a foppish hero! He seems quite impressed with his new footwear, and totally unaware he's the butt of gossip from the ladies of the Rotundity Club. Well done, Ann!

  10. Your imagination never ceases to amaze me Ann. Your pieces of art so often are like reading a mini novel. I can just imagine a great adventure evolving. Where did Harold get his fetish from I wonder, what kind of a mum would he have had?
Seriously though, a great theme and a very creative piece.
    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
